Actually, we do know what the prize is, and that’s a brand, spankin’ new Nintendo NX console. As to what that is, though, we’re not sure. How can you know if you want to win something when you don’t know what it is? That defies all logic, meaning it’s perfect for Nintendo fans.
This mystery device certainly won’t be easy to win, either. The ESL Go4Splatoon tournament will last for an entire six months, meaning the winner will probably be getting the console at about the same time as everyone else.
And if we’re looking at a cheap price tag, I might just be more willing to drop that than dedicate six months of my life to Splatoon. My brain just can’t take it!
The Nintendo NX is set to launch in March 2017. The most valid rumors currently point towards it as a hybrid between handheld and console gaming, and it will be a cartridge based device.
